A Taste of Italy at Limoncello in Naples, FL

Limoncello, an authentic Italian restaurant in Naples, FL, offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience with its delightful atmosphere, impeccable service, and scrumptious food.

From the moment you step inside, you are transported to the streets of Italy, thanks to the beautifully decorated walls and the charming lemon light fixtures. The live music adds an extra touch of class, while the cleanliness is evident, as tablecloths are changed promptly after guests leave.

Service at Limoncello is nothing short of exceptional, with our server Larry being a prime example of professionalism, knowledge, and charisma. The entire staff was super accommodating and thoughtful, even when faced with an unusual request for a side of mayo, which they do not carry. The manager personally came to apologize and explain, earning them a well-deserved 10/10.

The drink menu at Limoncello boasts some unique and refreshing choices, such as the Twelve Twenty-Seven Mule and L'Ostello Martini, scoring an 8/10 and 9/10 respectively. The Twelve Twenty-Seven Mule is a refreshing concoction of Tito's vodka, Limoncello, Ginger beer, and mint. This drink is characterized by a crisp taste, with the ginger beer and Limoncello combination creating a perfect harmony, and the mint adding a subtle freshness without overpowering the other flavors.

The L'Ostello Martini, on the other hand, is an elegant blend of Absolut Citron, Limoncello, fresh lemon, and a sugared rim. The drink offers a revitalizing and well-balanced experience, with the Limoncello taking center stage and the sugar rim expertly countering the acidity of the lemon.

The appetizers and entrees do not disappoint, starting with the Calamari Fritti. This dish consists of crispy calamari rings accompanied by golden fried zucchini and a tangy lemon parsley aioli. The calamari are notably fresh and flavorful, with the breading providing a satisfying crunch. The zucchini offers a subtle taste, allowing the calamari to shine, while the parsley aioli adds a delectable twist.

For the entrees, the Penne Alfredo with chicken and shrimp is a standout dish. The pasta is cooked to perfection, with each piece offering just the right amount of bite. The creamy Alfredo sauce and melted cheese combine to create an explosion of flavors, perfectly complementing the tender chicken and succulent shrimp. The only minor critique is that the shrimp could have been presented without the tail for easier consumption.

The Veal Parmigiana is another excellent choice, featuring a lightly fried, tender veal cutlet smothered in a rich marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella cheese. Served alongside spaghetti marinara, the veal is incredibly tender and flavorful, while the breading maintains an ideal texture. The marinara sauce is delightfully tasty, albeit slightly sweet, which may not be to everyone's liking.

Dessert at Limoncello is a dream come true for those with a sweet tooth.

The homemade Tiramisu is a heavenly combination of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, amaretto, and velvety mascarpone. The dish is accompanied by some of the best homemade whipped cream you'll ever taste. The Tiramisu is remarkably smooth, fresh, and sweet without being overpowering – a truly delightful way to end the meal.

The Limoncello Flute is another dessert option, consisting of a light lemon gelato swirled with Limoncello. This palate-cleansing treat is both refreshing and delectable, providing a perfect balance after a flavorful meal.

The only drawback during our visit to Limoncello was the slightly warmer temperature inside the restaurant. It is unclear whether this was an isolated issue or the standard temperature setting. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience does little to detract from an otherwise perfect dining experience.

In conclusion, Limoncello in Naples, FL, offers an outstanding experience that transports you to Italy with its enchanting atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food. It is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Italian cuisine at its finest. Despite the slightly warmer temperature during our visit, this restaurant earns a well-deserved 9/10. We highly recommend Limoncello and look forward to our next visit. Buon appetito!
